Saturday March 1, 2014 Stated Presbytery Assembly Notice
To the Church Commissioners, Council Elders and Committee Chairs, Commissioned Lay Pastors, and Minister Members of Presbytery:
On Saturday March 1st the Presbytery of Susquehanna Valley will be hosted by the First Presbyterian Church of Delhi website: www.fpcdelhi.org, phone 607-746-2155. The church is at 4 Clinton Street, less than half a block from State Route 10 (Main Street) in Delhi. Parking is behind the church in a lot and on street.
The assembly will begin at 9:00 a.m. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and business is to conclude with a conference time sponsored by the Committee on Ministry and the Cabinet(Council) on 'Pastor Compensation and Ministry Models' followed by lunch.
Coffee and snacks will be available at registration.
Our Assembly offerings this year are divided evenly between the PC(USA) special offerings and local ministry needs. This will be for the One Great Hour of Sharing and the local designation is the "Mosaic of Peace" conference that young adult elder Ben Althaus is attending. Checks should be made to "First Presbyterian Church, Delhi".
In addition to each pastor and lay pastor attending, each church is expected to send a ruling elder commissioner to presbytery assembly. If the regular ruling elder delegate cannot attend, an alternate should go instead. Please email requests for excused absence to:
After February 21st, reports and papers for the presbytery assembly meeting can be accessed online at: www.susvalpresby.org and choose Login. You will need to have the presbytery user name and password to be able to open the files (they have not changed, call 607-323-4477 if you need them ).
